After nearly two weeks of waiting, I finally had notice the car was on its way. It would disrupt bedtime routines for the kiddos, but the driver was sure he could make it before the day was spent.

A two-hour wait later, my camera pinged for driveway activity; I headed out to meet the driver (and get him to back it up to the top of the drive so we could actually unload it without driving in the grass).

Arrival

Home, in my driveway - my excitement barely contained - with only five minutes to spare before “regular bedtime routine.”

I would say “who cares?!,” but - as a Good Dad and Partnerâ„¢ - I’m sad that it got everyone off-track for a good night’s sleep. My son said, as he bawled crocodile tears in his bedtime stalling: “but I really wanted to drive it around tonight!”

I know, my boy… I know. Me too.
